Exposition: The main character of the novel is Marcus Yallow, however he often goes by his computer gamer techno kid name w1n5t0n. He is very computer savy and enjoys thwarting the overcontroling administration at Caesar Chavez High School. the setting takes place in a futuristic San Fransico where cyber security is often a problem for the young Marcus, however he and his friends usualy bypass these obstacles with innovative methods. They enjoy ditching school to play stupid Japanese video games and all that Jazz, and hangs out with his friends Darryl, Vanessa, and Jolu. Essentialy Mr. Marcus is the typical teenager care free and enjoying goofing off (forshadowing).

Inciting Moment: The Inciting moment occurs when Mr.Marcus and his friends are chilling together when suddenly a loud BANG! Living in California they assume it to be an earthquake, a common mistake. However this is no earthquake but rather a bomb explosion. Sirens ring, bells whistle, and an angel gets its wings. The four flee to a saftey station but decide to run in the opposite direction (dumb) and walk against the massive croud seeking saftey like a threatend wildabeast. As they exit the perfectly good shelter Daryl is stabbed. They go outside searching for help but are siezed by soldiers who take them away. They are later interogated even though they had nothing to do with it, pity really. Marcus realizes that this is serious as they suspect him of being a Terrorist, no good especailly after a terrorist attack. He finally tells them all about his shenanigans in order to get better privelages. After this they realize that he's no good to them and kick him to the curb (not really).

Rising Action: The rising action of the novel is when Darryl gets stabbed as he is leading his friends Marcus, Van, and Jolu out of the clostrophobic crowd. Van Knows a little first aid and does the best she can to prevent Darryl from bleeding too much. All the friends are overwhelmed and Marcus decides to call the ambulance. The lines are down because so many people are trying to get through. Instead they decide to flag down every car that comes by. Nobody stops for them because they are a bunch of teenagers hanging about on the street. Marcus gets frustrated and jumps in front of the next car he sees coming. He realises it is an army truck and people in army uniforms exit the vehicle. Marcus is startled with a bunch of guns pointing right at him. The men who are part of the DHS put a bag over Marcus' head and tie him up. They think he is a terrorist and they take him to their headquarters to interrogate him. Marcus refuses to cooperate with the DHS and the 'Severe haircut lady' (the head of the DHS).He knows that his phone is encrypted so he is anxious about giving up his phone because he expects the worst. After a three day ordeal of questioning and torture Marcus gives the DHS and the 'Severe haircut lady' his phone and they realise that he is an innocent teenager. Marcus and his friends are free to leave but Darryl (who was stabbed earlier in the novel) is unwillingly left behind.

Climax: It seems that the climax of this fine novel occurs when Marcus is playing Vampmob with his friends around town. Then once again caught and this time tortured along with gettting his phone taken away. He escaped only after crushing Masha's hands and while fleeing he finds another phone and a group of kids who aid him by giving him clothes and a computer to use. He unravels a video plot that reveals a secret about the terrorist attack, and proves that he is indeed not guilty.

Falling Action: In the demise of this outstanding novel Marcus comes to realize a few very important details. AS the rising popularity of his X-Net resistance he forms an anti-D.H.S resistance. Also he learns a very important detail that Daryl is indeed alive and is still on Treasure Island. He finally tells his parents and Darryl's father  the entire truth about what happened to him those three days during the terrorist attack. In addition to releasing this information to the press, specifically to a reporter by the name of Barbara.

Dénouement:  Once the public as well as the Governor of California found out, about the activities of the D.H.S, he immediately  removed them from the city of San Francisco and replaced the agency with government officials. Freeing Darryl, Ange and himself from his own guilt.
